Namma Shyaale I A CSR Initiative by Ideaaz to Impact quality of Rural Education in Karnataka

While Ideaa-z Automation is committed to delivering advanced lighting control systems to India’s workspaces, it equally embraces its responsibility as a socially conscious corporation. One such initiative is ‘Namma Shyaale’ — a transformative project aimed at reimagining education through impactful interventions. It’s a powerful step toward shaping the future of learning by providing students with modern spaces that foster curiosity and growth. In this article, we delve into how the project took shape and the positive impact it has made on its young beneficiaries.

Guiding Vision for CSR

Education is the greatest tool for transformation—it empowers individuals to become independent, shift perspectives, and overcome hardship. It is a fundamental right that everyone deserves.

However, schools with dilapidated and inadequate structures hinder learning, affect health and hamper dreams. The Ideaa-z team in partnership with Smitam-NGO identified two old schools, one in Belagavi and other in Bevooru. The Government Primary-Higher Schoold Gudas of Belagavi, North Karnataka was founded in 1925 and the Government Primary-Higher School in Bevooru, Vijaynagara was founded in 1956. Both these schools, important for the area they belong, were in dire conditions, in total disrepair. These schools lacked essential amenities, which adversely affected the learning environment and led to lower student enrollment.

Recognising the need for change, IDEAA-Z took the initiative to rebuild deteriorating government schools under the project name ‘Namma Shyaale’ (which means ‘My School’ in Kannada). This small yet impactful step aims to bridge the gap by providing a safe, modern, and effective space for teaching and learning.

The Transformation and the Impact

IDEAA-Z started refurbishing and renovating these schools, with the goal to transform them into vibrant learning spaces, as well as improved safety and hygiene parameters.

This initiative, guided by a strong vision, provided the schools with the following improvements:

● Enhanced hygiene facilities
● Better-equipped classrooms
● Improved lighting
● Access to clean drinking water

More than 577 students and 70 educators have benefited from this initiative. This single step toward revitalisation has provided the students of these schools with better environments for learning, along with essential resources for a dignified educational experience. The result is out there to see; the schools now have refurbished classrooms that spark curiosity and imagination. Botht the schools now have improved and better washroom facilities. The impact doesn’t end here. Both the schools are witnessing increased attendance and renewed excitement among children. A noticeable improvement is seen in engagement between students and teachers, which we believe is at the centre of joyful learning.

This step marks the beginning of our commitment to creating meaningful, sustainable change in the communities we serve. Moving forward, we remain dedicated to expanding our CSR efforts and making a lasting impact.

This journey of change wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our partners, Smitam NGO, educators, and the communities involved. This achievement is a shared one, built together with them.

The results are not just visible; they’re deeply felt. Our project motto, “Transforming Education with Impact,” now truly resonates, breaking down barriers to education and opening the skies for little ones who are ready to soar. Truly opening doors to ‘infinite possibilities’ for the young minds of our nation.
